97 Jimmy won't fire/ no lights

Hi Guys, I have a 97 carberated vortec Jimmy that will not start.it gets no fuel and the dash lights don't come on so i am assuming electrical but the starter does crank. it did start a couple of times at first when the dash lights and gauges would sudenly come on and it would run great,then I shut it off to try again and now nothing.HELP

I would check the baattery cable ends for corrision, more so the positive double cable ends.
Then check the ignition switch. Look in the HOW TO/ Technical section in this forum for ignition switch replacement if this is the problem.

Just an FYI: you don't have a carbureted Vortec engine.
I second the ignition switch recommendation - '97 was apparently a bad year for them.
