Water pump

I want to thank the response on the last problem I had with the ignition switch. Got it replaced and it works fine. Now the drive belt came off but didnt break on the way home, I noticed a little coolant leaking the last couple of days by the pump. could the water pump lock up causing the belt to come off? Im going to replace to water pump on friday hopefully it wont be that bad on the v-6 also does anyone have any ideas on prices on these. Thanks for your time Gary

Water pump could have locked up. You should be able to tell by trying to turn the water pump pulley.
It also could have been your belt tensioner thats bad causing your belt to come off.
Water pumps are cheap and very easy to replace. Not sure exactly what year GA you have(your profile didnt say) so prices vary.
