ive got my mind made up, im gonna be getting the f22b, only thing is, how do i go about getting parts for it? i know the intake and exhaust will stay the same, but i want to get a new header, but a friend of mine told me the one i have for my stock motor will not fit, is that true?
also, what if i need to take it to the shop for a new timing belt, water pump, etc. all the stuff that can break or need replacing... how can i get parts for a motor that only existed in japan? im sure the belts are different since the jdm is a dohc. how similar is the jdm f22b and the usdm h23a? i just need to know what parts to ask for when going to the shop.
thanks

why waste the money on the f22b2 ? save and get a h22. is the b2 the vtec ?, i really don't think it's worth all the trouble for only 15 extra ponnies

well actually it was the jdm f22b dohc non-vtec from a prelude si, which is actually 160hp(35 more). but, like you mentioned, i am gonna save and get the h22. i figure it would have been a waste to put a motor into a car with a tranny thats got 140k on it. this way i can put a new motor and tranny in and of course id put in a new clutch before installation. im guessing within 3 months ill have the money to pay for it.
so now another related question. do i have to get jdm parts for the motor or will usdm parts fit in/onto it? as far as i know the only difference between us/jdm h22's is the higher compression, but i could be wrong. if its something else, what are the differences?

from what i heard they will fit. the only difference will be the compression and the emission controls

screw emissions. first im gettin an obd1, whether i have to buy one or it comes with one, doesnt matter. and i also have a hookup with gettin smogged, so im not worried about that either. i dont know yet, but im considering going turbo, in which case i'd need a little "help" getting smogged.
