My brother has a 02 Cavalier and the back passenger brake/tail light literally explodes. I can not find any faults in the wiring and the fuses never seem to blow. My old Lumina would do the same thing but moisture was getting into the lens, but I don’t see any moisture in the lens for this Cavalier. Anyone have any suggestions?

When you say explodes, do you mean multiple times? Or everytime you replace the taillight?

i would suggest you check voltage as soon you start engine maybe voltage regulator voltage could be as high as 18 plus volts doent drop until idle does if you replace bulbs start and does again need new alternator fast or will screw up other parts my honda did this then rain it craped out
