I have 2000 venture when the air temp outside is below 38 degrees (or around there) it will stall when I let off of the gas. It will restart again and as long as I keep the rpms up it is ok until the engine warms up but sometimes it will stall when engine is warm also. I took to a garage 3 times all 3 times it had the code for mass airflow sensor. I replaced airflow sensor 3 times and still stalls. I replaced the idle air control valve and still have the same problem. If air temp is above 38 degrees it will run great dosen't stall at all. Someone please help I am going nuts with this thing.:screwy:

When was the fuel filter last replaced?
Just a heads up but a partially clogged fuel filter can lead to an over-worked fuel pump and thus a possible premature failure.
Damaged ignition system wires or components.
Faulty emissions system.
Vacuum leak(s) or faulty or incorrectly gapped plugs.

clean the throttle body with carb cleaner. if the throttle plate is dirty and is sticking open it will not idle at cold temps also check the throttle position sensor , you can check it with a ohm meter and see if the meter moves when you move the tps shaft.it is right below the iac.

i wouldn't use carb cleaner they have regular spray you can get it at autozone to clean maf and throttle body. i use to use carb cleaner but these days are diffirent. and rock i'm not trying to step on your toes but thats my opinion.

Thanks guys for the responses. I already cleaned the throttle body when I changed the AIC and tested the TPS the same day, it checked out ok. I also put a scanner on it yesterday and it still has the code for MAF. Same thing the garage said. I do have a question, If the MAF code was never cleared would the computer still read that there was an issue with the MAF and try to make an adjustment to compensate for a bad MAF causing the engine to stall?

I do have a question, If the MAF code was never cleared would the computer still read that there was an issue with the MAF and try to make an adjustment to compensate for a bad MAF causing the engine to stall?the code will still come up in the history until it is cleared by a scanner or the pcm clears it. will your scanner clear the codes? if not autozone can clear the codes if you ask them to.after that if it still shows maf then either the maf sensor connector is bad or broken wire. the pcm connector for the maf is bad or loose.i see where you changed the maf three times . all three new? all three same brand? i have heard these are not cheap.as the pcm will sense the maf realtime if it reads good the no new codes and eventually the codes will clear.if the readings are not within spec a new code will come up.just because a code for maf is in the history if it reads ok then the pcm will not try to correct it.if there is still a problem then another code will come up even if the same number.

Yes I the scanner I had cleared the codes. When the check engine light came on again it was the same code MAF. 2 of the MAF sensors were remanufactured and the third one was a new one diferent brand. Luckly each time they gave me a refund. I will check the conections and wire to the PCM. Thank you for your comment rockwood84 I rally appreciate it. I will post back if I find anything.

Just wanted to let you know what the problem was. It turned out to be the MAP sensor. Also wanted to thank you guy's for your help and quick responses. Thanks again.
