I'm currently driving a Honda Civic, but thinking about changing to a VW Golf Mk 3
What would be the best choice for upgrading later on, a 2.0 GTI or a 2.8 VR6
And if there are any what are (big) differences between these 2 models.
Thanks for any reply

The big difference is money.
The VR6 is more expencive to buy, drive, maintain, repair and tune.
On the other side, it's quicker, faster, smoother and more luxurious.

If youre looking to the price of a VR6 it seems that the second hand 5door VR6 is cheaper then the 3door version
and with less mileage.
Personally I dont mind that it has 3 or 5 doors, the 5door is only 100kg heavier or something than the 3door.
I also found a site where they sell SuperChargers for the VR6,
a complete tune-up will boost the engine from 174hp to 240hp
So that is quite a big step forward, ok the price is also a BIG step € 3150
