Hi Guys, might sound stupid but I don't know if I can spray clear coat over BMF, or it is not adviced? Do you guys have any previous experience?
Any help is appreciated!

A lot of people clear over BMF, but personally I don't do it. They clear over the foil because they think they need to seal it to protect it from falling off. Personally that's not my experience, even on models built over 20 years ago. Also I prefer to polish BMF to a very high shine that looks more realistic than cleared-over BMF. Any compound you would use for paint will work wonders on BMF. Your polishing rag will be black from the oxidized aluminum that you polish off.
Try both methods and see what works best to your own standards!

i have to clear, because i lay down several coats of clearcoat prior polishing. and with a lot of coats it is less and less easy to cut bmf properly (wet coats are rounding edges and depressions).
+ after polishing adhesive of bmf is not stickyng so good to the surface (oily compound)
+ bmf could peel off when waxing and so on...

When I fabricate hose clamps with bmf I brush over them with Model Master flat clear lacquer to tone them down and prevent them from moving or falling off during assembly.
