96 Intrepid 3.5L Wont Fire!!!!!

ok so my brothers neighbor had this car his dad was driving and it just died wont start so I bought it for 200 bucks looks like its getting spark he said its a new fuel pump in it i havent tested the fuel lines yet or compression i just recently picked the car up now when i go to hooke my computer too it there is no service engine light on so no good there ne ideas wut it would be that wouldnt turn the engine light on thanks.

well tooke the time too dig into this found out timing belt was wore timing belt tensioner was in 2 pieces not 1 the water pump was trashed 130 bucks for all these started right up only too find a broken tranny line YAY!!! lol so not bad 330 for the car running tranny line shouldnt be too hard jsut got to get the broken part out of the trany any tips?
