2001 alero

hey all, im new to the forums, and had a few questions about my alero that i picked up a few months ago....its a 2001 alero, with a 2.4l 4 cyl, with 215,000 km's.
just wondering what controls the shift interlock, and steering wheel lock, as i can shift out of park, go all the way down to first gear and back up to park, and turn the wheel 360 degrees both ways without a key in the ignition.
as well the power trunk release button only allows the trunk to open intermittently...like ill sit there and press the button a few times, then it would open....
other than that, just a few regular problems found in the forums i have as well.....like the hub assembly, one side is pooched and causing the ABS, TRAC OFF, and SES lights to come on, just not sure which side and probably gonna do both when the time comes.....
i do also have a tick in the engine, sounds like a lifter tap, when the engine revs around 1500 and 3000 RPM's

I had a problem with my lights as well and all it was is a wire for the abs pulled out of the harnes at the wheel check that be for you replace the sensors wiggle the wires some tomes it might look good but it will come loose

just an update i got a tensioner assembly off of a 2001 sunfire with a 2.4l 4 cyl in it, as mine went the other day just two weeks after replacing the serpentine belt. all the other pulleys seem to spin freely without resistance, but i think i may wait till warmer weather to DIY.
