hvac blower not running

my father in law's 05 santa fe blower motor failed to start after he shut it off for a fuel stop.:banghead: he thinks the fuse's are ok. ideas guys? thanks

If its a roof top mounted one, run by generator or power inverter (has 110 ac) The Start capacitor would be the first place I would check. It will be round or oval with voltage and mfd ratings stamped on it (You need those two bits of info to get the replacment one)

Is it not working on any speed? If it has the manual heating and air, more than likely it's the blower switch. It could also be the resistor, but I would say 3/4 of the time on the '01-'06 Sante Fe's it's the switch.

up date: well the father in law's resistor was the culpert. the gm shop he took it to ordered a new one. in the meen time they put a jumper to run on high for now. thanks again.
