97 900S Oil light question

I have a 97 900S and when you crank it up its fine. After running a few minutes and when you rev the motor a lil, the oil light comes on. Once you let off the gas the oil light goes away sometimes. Other times it stays on. Is it a oil pressure switch or could it be worse? Any ideas? Any trouble shooting techniques??
