'99 Radiator Question

I have a '99 with a leaking radiator. When I went to the service manual to get the removal procedure. There is a statement that the radiator can be repaired with the "hot glue procedure".

What is the "hot glue procedure" and does it really work???

What service manual was this in? I'm not familiar with hot glueing a radiator.....at least successfully, anyways...

You are going to waste time and the easier way is to replace the whole radatior with less headaches doing it right the first time. You do need a special release tool,3/8" realease tool for the transmission lines which most parts stores sell. The fitting is a jiffy tite fitting which is much better than a flare nut fitting taking less time to remove,to put back in and no leaks.

Thanks for the responses. I was going to replace the radiator when I found the reference to the "Hot Glue" in the GM factory service manual. I guess I'll replace the radiator.
