2009 Optima is Hideous looking

Not that I am huge on the optima from 2008, Its my wifes car, But the 2009 is all screwed up. Looks like a cross between a nissan murano and a sentra with ghetto chrome. Glad I bought the 2008. Becasue the 2009 would never be in my garage.

Well, I have the 2006.5 Optima ,and I think the 2009 is much better looking.Not only that,but the trip computer has (gasp!) the MPG on it.
I guess it's a matter of taste.:smile:

I think it looks nice , looked at them at the auto show and the interior is as nice or nicer than any other car in the same class. Thought it was a lot nicer than the Hyundai sonata ...

mmmm...perhaps the last models of the larger Saturn come to mind - at least the grill & headlights. The butt end isn't all that changed, just more chrome effects, like you said.

Personally there's nothing offensive about 2006.5-2008, but I think it looked a little old on the outside even in 2006. It's about where Acura's TL was in 2000 in terms of the exterior.
