Snow chains/cables for 2002 Bravada

Does anyone have chains or cables for their AWD Bravada? We've had lots of snow here in Seattle and they don't plow so we've been needing them on the steep hills here. The owners manual instructs not to use chains because of clearance issues, but cables might work (it says to call the manufacturer of the cables to see if they work for the Bravada). I just want to make sure that they don't interfere with the brakes or anything else. I can't imagine that they would, but I'm not expert. I've asked mechanics in the past, but they don't really have an answer...

I wouldn't run cables or chains...not enough clearance. Some tires, even correct sizes will rub a little. You might check the used tire stores for some aggressive treaded/studded used tires to get through the winter or buy some new then take them off when spring arrives.

I let someone borrow a Nova I had. It snowed and he put chains on it. Going up a hill, one of the passenger side chains came loose and beat out the outer wheel well/quarter panel....whatta mess.
