so i was actually just wondering which gps systems everyone had and what they think of this one I got.

its the new motorolas and their pretty cool! I got the TN20 model and I love it because I can take it with me anywhere, its small enough to fit in my pocket. Its great with directions, really easy to use, and it has a lane guidance feature which instructs you on what lane to take when driving so you don't miss your exit or turn.

Heres the pic (mine is on the right) also they have the full specs and pics of it on their main site, motorola.com/motonav

Personally, I like the Garmin 530 a lot. It's got a decent MFD, it's fairly user friendly (much more so than Bendix King units), and of course it's IFR certified. But it is kind of expensive.

I'm just dying to try a G1000 system! :grinyes:

I have a TomTom GO720 which is absolutely awesome - I can't recommend it highly enough - it bluetooths to my phone to download new maps, easy to use, good visibility in all lights, recalculates very quickly and the voices aren't too annoying.

I also have a Nokia Navigator 6110 which is an absolute piece of garbage as a GPS and a mediocre phone.

Yea this one is really user friendly too, just turn on and go - there was no need for a manual. It had some great features on it too like the lane guidance i talked about and the day/night mode, speed limit display and warnings.

They have all the info on the one I got and the MotoNav TN30 on their site but yea nice system thats worth checking out!

My ex had a Garmin StreetPilot (I forget the model) but it was really nice.

My parents, on the other hand, have a Lowrance - I HATE HATE HATE this GPS. It once told me to make a U-Turn on I-270 entering the DC Beltway (I-495). For anyone who has ever been on/near the Capitol Beltway... you know that at 80mph bumper-to-bumper in 6 lanes of traffic all going the same direction that you do NOT want to hear the word U-Turn.

As for me... I use VZ Navigator on my Sh!tbe, um, BlackBerry. Because of the small display, it's sometimes hard to use in close quarters like in a city where there may be multiple turns near one another. Overall it does reasonably well, though. I haven't gotten the chance to try out the new traffic-avoidance features yet.

lol gotta love it speediva...

I definitely hear ya on the small screen though, thats gotta be tough. That MotoNav TN30 actually has a 4.3 inch screen which should be rather nice to have :)
