I have had persistent electrical problems for about a year. At first the symptoms were, abs light/message coming on, the "t/c off" light coming on. The radio going off and on again, tight steering, and traction control msg on display. Once home the head lights flashed and the braking was problematic. Turned out it was the alternator. It was replaced and things were fine. Until about 6 months later, out of the blue with no warning, the car refused to start. Got a jump and was able to make it about 2 miles to park safely, but steering stayed tight. After sitting for a week, it started and gave me no further trouble till the other day. It was wet and i hit a good pothole. The abs light came on again, the t/c off light came on, the steering msg came on again and steering became tight, and radio off and on. Any ideas? Is this electrical or computer related???

Have the battery checked. These cars act up with a weak battery. It could also be poor connection to the battery.
