I had an auto shop replace my ignition switch after all the things I heard I did not want to tackle it myself the heater and A/C now work on all 5 speeds but the daytime running lights still don't go on, the lights do come on automatically when it is dark or if I cover the sensor the fuse is good but I don't know about the resistor can someone help me how to check it before I call the garage back. I know how to use a volt/ohm meter and the resistor is on the drive side panel and a plug that goes to the resistor I need to know the color wires which is HOT volts and the Resistance coming out after the 12 volts is disconnected.

It would help to annotate the year and model Grand Prix in your post.
Send me a PM with regular email address and I can send you a PDF file of the DRL circuits.
Is the 12 volts present at the DRL fuse socket?
