I have a 2000 Buick Century Custom and it's been a pain in my ass for the past few months. Anyways, my climate control would only work on the high setting and nothing else. Only high and off. This morning on my way to work it kind of sputtered out and is no longer functioning. It will not turn on whatsoever. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? Thank you

Welcome to AF.
Possible blower motor resistor and just to be sure you can bench test the blower motor by applying 12 volts and a ground to the two wire input connector.

Thanks for the reply. I am not too great with the technical side of cars so I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I was on my way to work when this happened yesterday and have no garage so now that it's daylight I'm going to check the fuses and all that stuff first. Hopefully I get this fixed up, cuz as I Mentioned, this car has been a pain in my ass!

Check the fuses to the climate control unit and the blower motor hi-speed relay which is also located on the blower motor resistor (BMR). Hi-speed is position 5. The resistor is a component that increases or reduces voltage to the blower motor for speed control and is a common failure item. The BMR is located at the firewall right behind the blower motor. The blower motor must be removed to replace it. The parts runs around $25-$50.
