1G Eclipse VS 427cid T/A

The T/A guys dispute the results at the end. Vid's about 57megs so if you have a dial-up be prepared to wait.

T/A has a 7.0l 427cid motor, heads, cam, and some big full blown slicks...also supposedly a 150 shot.

Damn.. its taking me 13 minutes to Download at... 80 KB/S... I have Cable modem why?:rolleyes:

EDIT: Alright, after viewing the Video I've got a few observations of my own.

First off.. the Music played.. I'm a big fan of Kid Rock... Except that song. They use the music from Metallica's Sad But True... But fail to mention them in the list of bands they like... Odd?

Second... Did you notice the lack of traction the T/A had when he launched? I bet if it was on a track with a prepped surface he wouldnt of gotten sideways, and would of pulled ahead. I think his lack of traction cost him the race.

Still cool to watch... :)

..and yeah, 56k, BEWARE.

that was definitly a cool video. that sucks how the trans am didn't want to pay up. but that thing has power down low. but even if they were on a race track, the eclipse would've won. domestics have massive low to mid end. every time a domestic races a fast import. they always kill it off the line, but when they're half way down the track, the import usually passes them. thats how it would've turned out in my opinion.

Hard to say really what would happen on a drag strip. A V8 with that kind of power doesn't exactly lose all its strength going halfway down the strip. Would of been nice to see the Firebird shoot off the line straight for once instead of losing it.

I think the TA might have taken him with a better launch on the track. BUT he definitely got a beating in that video. Should have payed too, that was ghey of his people:rolleyes: :mad:
