I have been having a small problem with my century. About a month ago i went out to start it (i live in michigan) and it was extremely hard to start even though the temp outside was not to cold. I would turn over just fine, but acts like there is no fuel or low fuel pressure. i feathered the throttle and got her started and everything seemed fine... Well last week the same thing happened but once i got it started it ran really rough and i had to keep on the gas for about 5 mins before it would idle really rough and not stall out.. i drove it around my sub for about 20 mins and it would run rough and stall out whenever i wasnt acclerating. Fuel pump and pressure are good. i was told it might be the computer since when its throwing a fit the AC compressor turns on and off as well as the check engine and temp lights. i replaced the computer and for about 2 hours it ran fine and then with out warning it started stalling out again. Any ideas? it does not matter if the engine is warm or cold same problems exist

Have you taken the '92 Century to have the computer read? It'll probably be an OBD-I ( 'I' = 'version one,') computer. I had stalling/rough idle issues begin yesterday afternoon in my '95. Read of computer codes ($0.00 for this simple service by them) by my buddies at Advance Auto Parts gave me a
P1406 code, with another notification of random misfires. We looked in a Haynes manual for OBD-II repair and diagnostics, which translated to an EGR valve issue.:uhoh: EGR my '95 Buick is 3.1 v-6, and is solenoid controlled EGR valve. Is yours? Auto Parts store could tell you if it is or not. So, in the next few days, I'll be checking the EGR valve intakes for carbon build-up, checking electrical connections for solid connections. Advance Auto Parts buddies suggested a soak in a 1" deep bath of some type of solvent, NOT completely submerging the device, then cleaning the bottom/valve areas with a wire brush. The EGR they had on hand showed a price-tag of around $300. I'll do the simple cleaning before a replacement.
Try reading for codes, as a start, then build from there. Best of luck to you.
