Hi,all. We had a good year with the panoz car#34. 1 win at Roebling 1 at Road Atlanta, 1 cheap win at the rock{no competition} Only 1 dnf ,bent push rod. This is a great car. With the dot hoosiers we will be able to add more horsepower for the 2009 season.

blutz,

Congrats on a great season.

Did you happen to have incar video running @ Road Atlanta ?

I have seen lots of video @ RA but none in a Panoz. I would love to see shift points etc....

Thanks
Doug

Hi, My car is a gtra with a modified 5.0 and chassis mods ie. penske shocks, rear sway bar, large raduis rods. Sorry no video, but i run it up to 6400 rpms . So 4th gear down the front straight downshift to 3rd for t1 3rd all the way thru t5 shift up to 4th then back down to 3rd for t6 then down to 2nd for t7 all the way up to 5th for back straight. then down shift to 3rd for 10a/ 10b under the bridge shift to 4th. Thats what works for me.

Congratulations Blutz, that's just awesome. Quick question on getting into 3rd for 10a. Are you shifting from 5th straight into 3rd, or are you shifting into 4th and then a second shift into 3rd?

I've tried both and usually end up with the slower 5-4 and 4-3 option as the 5-3 option has been difficult to master. TIA.

Its all timing.....going thru the gears to me is extra stress on the drivetrain and I avoid it plus its slower. Try going 5th to 2nd at the hairpin at Sebring..... Seat time fixed it for me and I wouldnt allow myself to go thru the gears. Master the blip before shifting. Get your braking done, roll your foot and blip (heavy when your learning) then throw the gear. Have faith it will come

Congrats Bob! I left the banquet after the raffle, so I missed you getting your award. Glad to hear you did so well. Merry Christmas.
