I have a 94 318is and need to find the location of the fuel pressure regulator. Also, is there a shrader valve located on the fuel rail where I can check my fuel pressure. Thanks for any help.

The fuel pressure regulator is located on the front end of the fuel rail. It has a vacuum hose coming out of the side going to a vacuum source. There is no schrader valve in the system. You would have to find the 2 fuel lines going into the fuel rail & insert an in-line tap to do the pressure check. The line toward the front of the car is the return line & the rearmost is the feed line from the tank via the fuel filter. I know that the fuel filters change with the month of construction, so you'll have to know that if you want to buy a new one.
The dealer or someone with the right computer can tell you the fuel pressure. Why do you need this info? Have you a problem or are you trying to increase your HP? All of this is done via the ECU and it would require replacing a chip in the ECU to make it all work together. The chip that makes the most power is made by Autothority. Select the chip for the B&B exhaust as it flows the most air by volume. This is how my car is currently equipped.

No, just trying to get it running again. I bought a used pump and it started up again after it had been sitting for 2 years or so. It didn't run real good, but I took it around the block. Tried to start again after a week and same issue, pump burnt up. Got another pump (30 bucks on ebay) and now it won't start at all. I did drain the tank and put in fresh gas (with fuel system cleaner). If I spray carb cleaner in the intakes it fires up so I know it is a fuel issue. Changed fuel filter, same issue. Now im to the fuel regulator. By the way, the lines have pressure in them.
Also, kinda weird. I took the old fuel filter off last night and when I put the new one on this morning it shot fuel out at me. I connected the out side first and as I was tightning clamp, a burst of fuel sprayed me from the open (had red cap on it) side of filter. Batt was disconected and lines where open all night. Any ideas how this would happen or does this car just hate me?

Have you pulled any engine codes? What month in 1994 was your car built?? My fuel filter has fittings so you need a wrench to change it. It's located underneath the car by the left side chassis rail directly below the firewall. It also has metal lines at that point. Do you know how to pull engine codes as you do not need a code reader to do that? The car will spit out the codes by flashing the check engine light.
The fuel system is designed to hold pressure when the car is shut off via the fuel pressure regulator. Somehow, you relieved the pressure when installing the new filter. I have NO idea how that happened. Please check the vacuum hose on the regulator. If it's not getting the vacuum due to a vac leak, it won't run right. It also may be injector problems as the car sat in your humid conditions there. You may have gotten some water into the system & it rusted up. Could explain the burned up fuel pumps.

I ran the fault codes and it came back 1444 ( no fault ). I had changed the filter before and replaced the crimp clamps with the screw type. It just had two rubber hoses going to each side of the filter. I found a new bocsh regulator on ebay for 20 bucks so I will start there. If that dosnt work I may try to replace the cold start injector maybe. It is very possible that water in gas may have rusted my injectors, but even then it would attempt to start I would think. Now it turns over but dosnt even attempt to fire (except when I spray carb cleaner into the throttle body. Judging by the fouled plugs, I think the regulator is stuck open and flooding the engine. I will keep you updated when I put the new regulator in.
By the way, when it did run after I put the first fuel pump in it backfired when I reved it up hard and cut out.
