Hi all. i'm 16 from SG and it's been awhile since i've been on AF, maybe 1 to 2 years already! I'd like to ask a favour of all you readers of this thread; to see if i have improved.:iceslolan So here's a link of my previous work: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t645834.html

alright. back to the FC3S. this is the kit i used:
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/takumijiang/FUJ034287.jpg
i'll say it was an okay build other than the floor of the interior being messed up. i had to cover it with thin sheets of plastic. there were no brakes so this is my first time attempting to fit brakes into such a kit. Brakes were off a DC2 and i was quite pleased with how it came out. And i replicated heat foils for the first time. I gave the car a matt black look.

modifications:
headlights with one side converted to a tube for air intake(?)(correct me if i'm wrong:headshake)
custom front and rear bumper
bucket seat for driver
custom exaust and muffler(muffler made from radio antennas)
RS watanabes from an initial D AE86

hope you like it!

Gearstick was custom made with the bottom from an AE86 and the stick is a metal wire.

That's one huge shift knob. Maybe you should of trimmed it down a bit.

is this fujimi or aoshima?
would you or someone mind doing a review of this kit?
i'd love to build a RX-7 FC
but i've heard that the fujimi kit has a very high floor due to motorized origin

Definitely an improvement from your last build. Not quite sure why there seems to be some white showing through along some of your panel lines though.

Nice job on the weathering...makes it look like a nice, cheap, daily drifter at a track. Some of it even looks like real rust! Though, if you're going to put that much effort into weathering it, maybe try to blend in the wheel extension things. Wonder what your next project will be...

xpeed: haha okay. i'll see to it.:iceslolan

mr_tomcat123: it's a fujimi. i'm still okay with the kit. it's got a few
extra parts such as seats and side mirrors but i guess the initial D
one would have more. few missing things are brakes and the gas
pedals. about the floor, i'm fine with the height but it looks messed
up. you can take a look at R11Furia's thread on the Mazda Savanna
SA22C RX-7 Turbo:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?
t=933310. the 4th picture from the top. it's the same chasis and
what you see there would be the floor of the interior which i didn't
like. so here's what i did to mine:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/takumijiang/43654264copy.jpg
from what i've seen on the net, i think the aoshima would be better. hope that helped!

I_Like_Rice: thanks! but sorry, this kit has no engine detail. :)

KevHw: thank you! about the panel lines, it might be because i had
earlier used a knife to cut along them. i'll take note of the wheel
extension things if i'm gonna use them again! btw they're to hold
the brakes in place. my next project should be an S13, or a suzuki Alto Twincam which is a kit produced in 1987.. hehe..:smokin:
