I have a defected passenger front spring I am thinking of replacing both front struts with a monroe quick strut kit, which is composed of the mount spring and strut all in one.If anyone has any experience using this setup I appreciate your feedback on how it compares to the original setup. Also do I have to remove the front bar link to remove the original strut. incidentally my car is a 1992 Honda Accord with 143,000 miles on the auto thanks.

Unless you have access to a spring compressor, the Quick Strut is the way to go. I was not aware that they were available for this era accord. But if they are, surely the way to go. It is a lot faster then messing around trying to assemble your own. It has been a while, but I do not believe you need to remove the sway link, but give them a close look. Especially if they are original. The rubber bushings get old and crack, then parts of them fall out, or the bolt itself breaks. The are pretty inexpensive, and while you are doing the struts, it is pretty easy to go ahead and do them.
