? on headers

I have a 2001 silverado 5.3 is it realy worth it for to put headers on it for how much they cost ?

It is my understanding that putting headers on doesn't do a whole lot for you if you haven't reworked the intake as well. Not sure how well that applies to the way engines are built these days with fuel injection and all.
I prefer to for the most part leave things as the engineers designed them.

i heard waste of time or less ceramic coated. Personally I dont know to costly for me to.
