How can I disconnect the Auto Lights on feature when the Ignition Switch is turned on?

Does it come on all the time day/night with the ignition? Do you just want it off in the daytime?

Some of us have a light sensor underneath the front driver's side speaker that is a PIA to get to (dash has to come off).

I tried to get in from the speaker cover but felt like something was gonna break. Musta disturbed the sensor though (guessing it was caked with dust) cos it worked better after that.

My lights came on all the time..but alot better now.

There is no way that I know of, to turn off the auto-on feature without adding a switch ..or something.

When you select the parkingbrake before contact on then the lights will remain off untill you release the parking brake. So you can select the contact on and start without lights on.
Totally disabeling the system is only possible with an electric system modification.
