my wifes car is a 2005 chevy trailblazer and the engine light came on the other day took the car to advance to have it scanned came up with code p0410 secondary air injection system malfunction. so i read on one the posts here that it has something to with the a air charge valve under the left side of the car on the frame rail. so i went out and looked at the car and found a black plastic canister is this the valve of the blower? and if it is not the valve where is it located. i also seen what looks like an electric motor right in front of the black plastic piece. or am i even going in the right direction to fixing this problem.
thanks for the help

Many things can cause this, the air pump could be bad, check for a blown fuse, and/or the check valve/solenoid could be bad or frozen up, more common. Make sure all the hoses are intact also.

I have changed the secondary air relay switch and i still have the light on. Where should I go from There? I have had this code for a bit, and I am worried that it might affect something else on the vehicle.

Won't affect any thing but emissions inspection failure, the pump could be frozen or the solenoid is bad, fuse blown.

The check valve mounted on the cylinder is a very common problem. My neighbors car had the same issue and the valve fixed it.
