Ok so driving around yesterday i realized my defrost sorta sucks. Does this have anything to do with how my A/C currently does not work? Someone told me that the A/C goes on when you use the defrost?

when you go to defrost and the temp is above 40deg f approx. the a/c compressor will run and with the temp to heat it will greatly aid in the removal of windshield mosture...
when it is very humid and 50deg f I will run a/c with heat and this clears all the windows, front and rear...
If your a/c system is not working it will take longer to dehumidify..the car interior..
