A/c Problem And Dash Noise

I have a 98 towncar and my problem is that recently starting doing that when i turn on my car on i can hear inside my dash like the ac vents or something changing positions and it wont stop, is if something is switching automatically, so am thinking that leads to my other problem that when i turn on my A/C in cool within a minute starts blowing hot air and it just stays there no matter what position i put it head or feet or change the temperature it stays blowing the hot air, any idea? Thanks

i had the exact same problem last summer, the sound stopped after about a week, but i lost my AC.

The Problem is the Actuator door for the AC and The heat. It sits on top of the Duct system. You need to take the Dash off to get at it. The part cost about $43.00 + Tax from dealer. Good Luck
