recently purchased. 90k miles. had michelins with 55k miles. alot of humming, whistling noise from the rear. i bought 4 new "goodrich t/a pro,s" at sam,s. still have the same noise, but it seems a little reduced. would bad rear bearings make this type of noise?? is labor about one hour to change both bearings?

We have an '03 LE in our fleet with 170,000 miles on it.
I replaced both rear hubs at 120,000 miles.
This is the newest Corolla we have out of 30 or so '99 thru '02s.
I hate the thing. It rides like a tank and has allot more road noise compared to the previous generation Corollas.
The struts are original so I may install new ones to see if it softens it up.

jacked up the car. could not hear any noise when spinning wheel on car. removed hub and spinned it by hand . then could hear noise. installed new hub .drove car. car still humming. pulled other side hub. when spinning by hand the noise was even louder then opposite side. installed new hub . now the humming noise from rear is completely gone.
