Hey guys, since im waiting for my nsx and supra to dry from paints, I bought a Tamiya S2000 and a Tamiya RX7-R1... I think i won't have problems with the S2000, but I really don't know about the RX7, it seems hard even tho its the same as any tamiya kit? Any ideas? Is it Hard? and any tips at all?

That is what I'm working on at the moment, seems OK body needs a fair bit of sanding to get the mould lines out. I will do the window masks and post them in the next 7-10 days.

What do you find hard about it ?
Hardest thing is painting the undersides, because the PPF and part of the exhaust are molded in with the floorpan.
Also the engine bay and the cabin interior could use some extra detailling.
General tip (This should work for most Tamiya kits with fragile suspension arms):
Take a 0.5mm diameter metal rod, slide the vinyl wheel locking rings over it and let it sit for a week or so (let it sit until you fit the rings in the suspension).
This will stretch the rings slightly so the wheels will fit easier, reducing the risk of breaking the suspension arms when fitting the wheels. In another week or so the rings will tighten up again.
HTH,

Are the vinyl rings not 2mm bore therefore a 2.5mm bar will be better
or have I not understood what you mean.

Oops, yes: I meant to say 0.5mm oversized, so that's 2.5mm diameter indeed, thanks :p
