Hi to everyone I have used this site for searching for info for many of my cars and I have a problem I can't get by myself or by reading numerous threads in this Forum.

Thanks to Everyone

Problem

When stopped I push 4hi button. I start to accelarate the front end differential grinds, clanks into 4WD. Sometimes if I shift from D to R to D after I pushed the button It works without making noises.

Once in 4WD it operates good. Sometimes when I let off the gas and then re apply it grinds back into 4WD it is definitely a front diff problem. It seems like it is 4hi then the front realeases and when gas is applied it locks up the front causing a grinding noise.

After 4X4 engaged it works well I can go through mud that I am bottoming out in for about a 1/4 mi without any problems.

Before 1 year ago I never messed with any 4X4 Here is a list of what I personaly did in attempts to fix this

Things I have replaced
CV shafts
Hub bearings
Encoder motor
Front vacum actuator
Vacum lines
vacum ball on transfer case
Rebuilt Front differential
Took apart transfer case Looks FINE
Vacum ball inside of drivers fender

I still think it might be due to a vacum issue. I have replaced most vacum line with metal tubing. I have noticed that the transfer case is leaking fluid.

I have tried to manualy lock the front end in by clamping the front engagement line and pulling out but the line would not budge for me but moved out when vacum actuator is installed

If the transfer case leaks will that cause a leak of Vacum too?

Any Ideas are greatly appreciated I have just about had it with this jimmy and am really lost on what to do now so please HELP!!!

If any more info needed just let me know

No replies yet???

Could this happen to be the box in passenger side kick panel?????

I read a thread saying that it plays a part on locking front end in and the box can also cause slow powerless starts from a stop sign in normal driving situations 2WD making it seem to be in low gear until revs high enough and takes off fast????

PLEASE NEED HELP
