Intermittent CHECK ENGINE light on '92 DOHC

CHECK ENGINE just started coming on while cruising or accelerating, goes out at idle.

Dumped out the code, which came up as 3-2. EGR gas temperature sensor (if I got the right list of codes). Cleaned the EGR & tube & ports. Wasn't too gunked up as I'd done it a few years ago. Disconnected batt. to reset ECM, but
still get CHECK ENGINE.

Will also check sensor plug/connection when I get home, but wondering if anybody as any thoughts.

Thanks in advance.
