Hey guys back again yet with another problem. I just can't figure out why all of a sudden my LCL keeps coming on and stays in a constant flash mode for about 20 sec then takes like a 1 min break before starting up again. Driving home from work last nght it seemed as if the car was running hot from vapors that I saw coming from under the hood but by sensor said other wise as well as my viisual inspection of coolant levels (radiator and Reservoir). Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

this seems to be a common problem. never got mine figured out on my SE just yet.

heres a few things you can try. first, clean out your coolant reservoir, and make sure the sensor is clean. if the light still flashes, unplug the sensor...if the light stays out you could try a new sensor.

the problem i had was i unplugged the sensor...and it quit blinking, however as soon as i replaced the sensor it started blinking again...so i just leave my darn sensor unplugged.

another thing to make sure of is that there are no air pockets or anything in your cooling system.

Well, after posting the original problem, the light has stopped blinking. But now there seems to be more of a problem. While driving home Saturday night, I noticed steam comming from underneath the hood. Upon a closer inspection Sunday morning, I noticed that I have a small leak underneath the driver side but really couldnt tell what it was. Well, this morning I realized that it was a little coolant. Now my question is, what could be the bad component causing me trouble this time?

Where on the driver's side? Look harder to find the area of the coolant leak. Especially the radiator hoses and radiator itself. Check the seams where the plastic coolant tanks mount to the radiator core.
