No CX-7 Forum??? oh yea, remote start!?!?!

??? I was just curious if any one has or had remote start installed. I'm working with a 08 Mazda CX-7, I'm trying to make it a Christmas present.

Car toys seems out to rim me. Grand total of $373. Unit price is at $149 installed. Plus bypass module which is quoted at $70-$100. Which sounds like $124 for extra installation. = $373. Also installation would take 1 to 2 hours.

It didn't bother me until I did some research. I went with Avital Avistart 4113 Remote Starter because all I need is remote start and no bells and whistles. So this unit is perfect.

So that's $200-214 for installation and $159-174 for hardware? I didn't even look for a module bypass or add taxes.

Am I getting screwed or is this about normal? Somebody toss me some lube!
