Regarding my 2003 Chevy Venture LT 114,000 miles -
After self-test, my ABS and Traction Control indicators are on. It seems to fail the first time I press the brake. I have all four new hubs. The last code I had was for the LR (c1223). I just replaced the LR hub without success. I did a continuity test from the LR sensor connector to the red and black wires on the interior harness connector at the firewall. No issues found with the continuity test.
Does anyone know how to remove the EBCM ( i think ) connector? It has a red clip and some type of Grey cam connector on it. I'd like to continue the continuity test to the control module. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the left side of the abs and traction wires go thru a pass-thru connector that is under the floorboard driverside right behind the driversseat. there are two pass-thru boxes under there the bigger of the two has the fuel gauge, fuelpump, and i think the rear left lights. but the smaller one has the abs/traction wires for the left rear. make sure you don't have corrsion in the pass-thru box.very common on these vans.as the moisture seal that g.m. used does not work. if you open the connector up and you see green on the inside try first spraying an electrical cleaner in it .once you get the green out put some dialectric cream on the male connectors and plug it back up and see if the abs/traction problems clears up..

Thanks for your feedback. The pass-thru connector is clean. It was also tested during the continuity test from the sensor to the connector under the driver side dash.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ABS and TC? I'd like to further toubleshoot this problem.
Any suggestions on what to try next?

a haynes or chilton manual has wiring diagrams . i was told that there is a brain box for the abs/traction in front of the gas tank it has a cover on it. could be a loose wire there.the wires from the pass-thru go to it.

All 3 brake lights working or just the third brake light up top. If so, could also have the infamous rear taillight short from water getting in and shorting the ground wire in the connector. Need to unscrew the rear assembly with a T30 head and check it out. Let us know and we can provide the few paths to fixing it.

Anyone found this issue. Having the same problem.
Light is 99% of the time on. Also hear a strange sound from the driver side under the hood. Sounds like a dryed valve opening. Don't know how to explain it. Looks like it is coming from the ABS pack (master cyl.)

If both the ABS and TCS lights are on, you probably have the taillight short I described in my 12/16/08 post. At the dash, do either turn signal flash quickly when activated or do both dimly light. Either way, probably the short in the taillight. After 3 years of repairing the water damaged connector, my went bad again and I will need to repeat the procedure.

Turn signal lights in dash are as it should. No strange things. When the ABS/TCS light is on, my cruise control still works. I noticed on the forums that cruise control shuts down also.

If you have a bad ABS sensor the ABS and Trac Off lights will light. Best bet before throwing money at it is to scan the abs system for codes.
