Groaning in front end

Hello,
Groaning front end. Not suspension, pitch changes as RPM changes. Thinking water pump bearings. Cools fine (today).
Takes a while to surface, once heated up and the thermostat is open for a while. Can hear it off of the starts (stop sign). Then sort of masks away by engine noise as RPM/speed increase.
Any ideas?:banghead:
