Clearing DIC

I have an 03 silverado with no steering wheel controls for the DIC. I had the "Change engine oil" light come across the DIC so I changed the oil but I can not get the message to reset. I read in teh manual and all it says is reset it, but it never says how to do that without the steering wheel controls. Any help out there?

Put key in ignition, turn ignition to on, mash gas pedal to floor three times with-in 5 seconds, wait till light flashes, turn key off. You are done.:smile:
