Fuel Gauge is Backwards

I just bought an '07 Malibu LT. The fuel gauge and the fuel range meter on the radio both are working backwards. I fill up the tank and they say that I'm empty, and when I'm empty, it says that I have a full tank. Please help.

Sounds like the fuel sending unit was replaced and the potentiometer wires were put on backwards. If you can find out somehow if this was replaced most likely that's you're problem.
