Am I the only one that doesn't care about this war?

Ok, this might sound cold, wrong, whatever... I don't care.

I've been watching TV all day (something I hardly do) and all that has been on is crap about this stupid "war"

These stupid pussies keep saying we shouldn't be going to war, and civillians are going to die... who cares? Should we just let Sadam keep making his weapons, and eventually kill some of our civillians? What happens then?

If we take Sadam out, then the whole world will be a safer place...

Maybe I'm wrong, If I am, enlighten me... why shouldn't we try to take out Sadam? I just can't see any reason not to...

You might not know the feeling of losing a friend, family member, or a loved one. People DO acctually care.

Yea I understand that, but the number of civillians that are going to die probably won't be that many...

Also, those civillians know the war is starting, if they don't want to die, they can leave the city until the war ends...

I do know how it feels to lose someone, it sucks, but you get over it... I just dont see how the deaths of a few civillians are more important than the safety of millions of people throughout the world... *shrugs*

Thats a callous attitude for war that I do no share. While I think that the war is justified and necessary (easily seen in the political forum) I do not take the fact people are going to die lightly.

Maybe you don't care about the war. Nobody can force you to care, but you may want to think about that for a few minutes and examine why the coming carnage has little to no effect on you. It seems unusual not to have at least some empathy for the people in the line of fire.

As for the "stupid pussies" portion of the comment - I agree that the intelligence level is lacking on those people but that part of the comment is an insult to my cat.

For why peole think we should or shouldn't be doing this, click over to the political/current events forum.

I have been watching the tv for 13 hours straight with a slight nap. i care very deeply about the war due to the fact that i have people i know fighting for our country. One of them based on a naval ship and the other being ground force marine. It hits closer to home when you can only imagine the people you know going through shit like that right in front of them. I just hope that we get Saddam and his bastard leaders.

what?

I can understand what you are saying, and I meant about the same thing when I made a post of a similar subject matter earlier on. The part about the civilians dying, well, I kinda get it, Im sensing you have the mind set that it's war and people will die, and that even before the war people were dying, so it doesnt really affect you. I also understand you not caring about the war. There is only so much a person wants to hear about a certain topic, and with all this media coverage it could be very easy to get burned out on the war coverage, I understand that completely. I just wish all these people who are protesting on both sides would STFU and realize that what they are doing is pretty much worthless. The war is happening and their protests will not stop it.

No joke! Do these people really think that b/c they are protesting that we're just going to be like "okay, everyone come home now, less than 1% of the American population wants it to stop". And I saw Martin Sheen's bitch ass walking with his "followers" with duck tape on his mouth that says PEACE carrying a big cross. I hope he didn't try to equate that to Jesus.

Personally I am against the war...........I don't follow it any more- I've stopped caring- Although of course innocent IUraqis are going to die and Bush has been telling non-stop porkies- but quite frankly the worlds two biggest morons (Saddam & Bush) can do as they please

Hey! Shut up! The president is doing the right thing. If you don't like the war show what, but I do! Not everyone is like you. Yeah, some people don't like the war. Just get over it. It will be better in the long run. Well, for all of the families it might not, but for the world it will. I will be glad when all those mfs are dead.
