back up lights fuse blowing

I have a 1996 sport and the # 26 fuse always blow when i shift from park to drive. and i think the four wheel drive does not work after that has any body had this problem? it looks like the back up lights & rear defrost is on same fuse also is the range finer on this circut?

Fuse 26, is that a 10-amp mini fuse in the Instrument Panel fuse panel?

According to the 1998 factory service manual that fuse only powers the Battery Saver Relay. You might try removing the battery saver relay and see if that prevents the fuse from blowing. If not, then the diagram from 1996 to 1998 must have changed.
