brake question

i have a 79 corolla i put new front calipers new lines new rear shoes new wheel cylinders and all new lines back there too i put a new master cylinder also. i bleed out all the brakes until clean fluid and then once again for each wheel to make sure no air . Now pedal still goes to the floor and when pumped a few times it gets firm and then if i hit the gas a little it gets very soft again.

what could my problem be?

When you bled the system, did you bleed the wheel farthest from the master cylindar frist? then the next farthest and so on? On mine it's the right/rear, left/rear, right/front, and driver's side. Make sure you first check the master cylinder resevoir that is full of fluid before you begin bleeding and then after each wheel thereafter. I hope this helps you.

There is still air in the system. Take familycar's advice on bleeding the brake system and take care that the master cylinder does not go dry at any time during the process.
It will take lots of fluid/time before the air is completely bleed out of the system. Especially since you basically replaced everything.

think i found the problem. i adjusted the rear drum brakes and the pedal got much better like where its supposed to be drove the car a mile and stopped a bunch of times and then the pedal went right back to the floor again so i guess the rear drums arent holding their adjustment. Also i have been bleeding in the order that family car recomended. I doubt there is any air left in the lines but i will get the hardware kit for the rear drums and the adjuster kit and then bleed again and see how everything goes. Ill let you guys know by the end of today if i get it fixed. Thanks for your help

the rear shoes are adjusted correct when the hub will barely slide on. say 0.050" gap.
