A few months back the check engine light on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee came on. Took to garage. They said a code of 1762 came up, needed to replace selenoid and transducer. Twenty eight days later, the light came back on. Took it out, they said needed to replace transmission. NOW--- wouldn't that have been evident when they took the tranny apart the first time?? Already paid $600 for first fix. Told them to put it back together. They said they did with "new" selenoid and transducer.
Runs fine. No sluggish or shifting problems. When weather gets below 45 degrees, the check engine light comes on again. Code 1762.

Could the mechanic have made an error in replacing the governor pressure sensor? Somehow not checking or setting voltage properly? Not sure what to do or if I want to go back to same garage.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks much.

If it runs and drives fine, just drive it. Obviously some sensor isn't working properly when it gets cold. The 1762 code IS for the transducer and solenoid
and since they're new and the trans works fine.....

They should have also replaced the harness that goes to those sensors too. It is very common to have the harness be the culprit so many places will go ahead and replace all 3 pieces (sensor, solinoid, harness) to be safe.
