what numbers are you putting down and at what psi of boost, along with ur mods if they are not in ur sig, im looking to see how much power can be made with a gst and a gsx with 272 cams 550cc 255lph and a 16g at 18psi thanks

There are way to many variables to really tell. At 18psi I would say a little shy of 275whp or so. Most people with 16g turbos push right below 300whp.

yea on that setup i made like 309whp at 24psi but it had some detonation.

Stevie is from Canada though, so he doesnt count.
:licka:
I'd say you'd be a hair over 250, but there is no way to tell unless you put it up on a dyno and did it yourself.

that is also true
I can't find my dyno sheet anymore. I remember when I got it i was pissed that the graph was hp and boost pressure rather than hp tq. Also remember the first time I let someone else dyno 'tune' my car. the first run I made the most hp and that was on my tune. He detuned it from there haha. Also I remember him telling I could make 14's when I had already made low thirteens :)

I'm guessing this is for the 3si in your sig? If not, don't keep reading.
If it is, bear in mind you'll have 2 of these snails on your ride, so a comparison isn't going to work; and no, you can't just double it. ;)
Also keep in mind that even though you tricked a couple of us into bench racing (I'm coming for you, guys) any HP numbers lose a certain relevance when comparing a 3000lb car to the beast that is the 3si platform.
My advice, install, tune, dyno, and most importantly...run some times.

no, this question is not reguarding my vr4, i have a few ppl around here that say they have the fastest car in town but they have gsxs with 16gs at 18 psi, dont get me wrong they are fast but i still say that they couldnt beat me, but ill just have to see as soon as the weather gets better here. with my new clutch and new tune and no boost leaks i should be able to run high 12s like 12.8 or so is what im guessing. stock turbos by the way untill summer when i do upgrade to twin evo 16g's =)

So, pure bench racing then?
Awesome.
Find a track and run 'em. The end.

True that. I like how bench racing was nicely hidden in the agenda. I thought this post was actually for a good reason. :disappoin Who cares.
Like Lando said, track it and run them. We don't bench race here.

And people wonder why they get salty responses from me. :screwy: I'm pissed I wasted ANY time on this pseudo-technical-bench-racing-garbage post.

ok. ill go tell the drag strip to open up for me in the middle of winter. and plain and simple dont answer to the post if u have an issue with my question. whats wrong with asking to see dyno sheets and numbers anyway? i dont understand why some ppl have to be that way, i guess its just someones lame personality that thinks they are better than everyone else. oh well.. cant fix the worlds problems by my self. and thanks to those of you that dont think ur a hard ass and actually had some info.

Don't get it twisted son, Lando is one of the most knowledgeable around, and he (and everyone else) is right... bench racing is pointless. Who gives two shits if some kid in a lightly modded GSX thinks he's got the fastest car in town? Winning an argument with a person like that is like winning the Special Olympics 100 yard dash anyway, let them think they're the cats pajamas until spring when the strip opens up.
On another note, check that attitude at the door next time homie. They might be a bit irritated, but they have reason to be. Anyone that's spent more than a month around Mitsubishi's should be able to ball park an 16g at 18 psi just as well as anyone else, especially with as little info to go on as you gave us. There are infinitely many variables than can affect how much power a car might put and we don't have magic power guessing abilities, you should have known better. I could understand if it was a DSM newbie verifying claims of a car they were interested, but in this case it was a pointless "my dick is bigger than yours" kind of thread. They are not "the worlds problems" for you to fix or "people with lame personalities" either.
plain and simple dont answer to the post if u have an issue with my question
To that I'd have to say this: Don't ask a question if you don't want an answer. You opened the invitation for answers by asking and though telling you to go race and find out might not be what you want to hear, its a perfectly legitimate answer to the real question at hand.
