So, few days ago i recived a package with a few revell monogram car kits that i ordered from germany. One from the kits i ordered was a 1:25 Chevy nova ss ´69. I had a hard time to even open it since it was stuffed full with bags or something.. As i managed to open it than i made a horrible discovery:eek:
This is what i found in the kit:

something is missing ha? Well yea, there is no body of the car!! Except they gave me two bags with the same parts.. ughhh
But whats important is that this was their fault and not from enyone else since the box was factory sealed in the plastic ˝bag˝.. means i was the first who opened it + they have to replace it..
Has anyone had this problmm before? I guess i will have a hard time to get a replacement body on their costs because i would have to send them the instruction sheets and some other stuff in the united thates to get it which is not simple and more important, its not cheap for someone who comes from Europe.. I have aleready written to them on the email adress (cservice@revell.com) but after 3 or 4 days i still got no reply.. has anyone got a good idea how to solve the problem?

Haven't had this problem before myself, but one thing to keep in mind is that last Thursday was a major holiday here in the US, and a lot of people were off of work on Friday as well. That may account for the delay in the response to your e-mail . . . .

That sucks.

Just order a new body on the Revell website and put in the note section (if it has one) that your kit contained no body and you shouldn't be charged for it or the shipping to Europe. I've ordered parts from Revell before (I paid, but it was only $3) and received them rather quickly.

I just got a "rare" Hasegawa Jaguar XJS V12 kit on eBay, which the seller claimed was new, and it had been started AND IT WAS MISSING THE WHEELS AND TIRES! Very annoying, considering its a 20+ year old kit without replacement parts.

Wow, join the crowd. I had the same issue with a Revell of Germany Ferrari 250GTO, no body in the kit.... and so far no response from RoG either.

It happened to a friend of mine some weeks ago with a Dodge Magnum kit, still no response from the manufacturer.

BVC500: well parts might be cheap to buy this way but the problem is that i come from Europe and there might be huge shipping costs.. but since it´s their fault that there is no body in the box i want it to be replaced for free.

Tibi Keke: Hmm but this is the german revell´s service support.. do u think they also help customers with revell monogram kits? i might send them a email in case noone respons from the USA.

mach1_2003, janositamas: Damn that sux.. i realy hoped that people with the same problem knew the solution but it seems that the ¨lucky¨ ones that buy such kits are screwed forever

@ale-o : Revell Monogram products are provided in Europe by Revell AG Germany, so any problems and complains you should write there.
i think it is worth to try.
I don't live either in Germany but i wrote them and after 3 week without any signal i got the things i need. Maybe i was lucky, but i'm convinced Revell is a serious company and if they have the parts they will help you.
I wish you good luck!

I'm not sure about revel kits as I've never built one, but Tamiya has the parts list on the last page of their instructions. Maybe you should try looking there?

Get your instructions and look at the bottom of the front page. It tells you exactly what you need (plan number-which is given in parentheses), part number (which you will find on page 9 in step 9), and description, along with your return address and phone number.

Hi again,
The ID number is correct. The number of the body should be in the instruction manual (somewhere). Revell Monogram Kits have a diferent instruction manual compared to Revell AG Germany. Revell AG shows all parts with numbers on page 5. Follow the information provided by ZoomZoomMX5 and you will find the number you need!
