so i have this 97 explorer with p0340 - cam position sensor, p0133 - o2 sensor number one bank one, p0300 - random misfire.... so i changed the cam sensor and it still has the ruff idle like a miss.... which is fine cause apparently the o2 sensor might still be the problem.... what i was wondering was the location of that o2 sensor.... is it passenger side before the cat?.... if thats does not solve the problem then whats the odds that its the PCM? i've been looking but everybody with the p0340 code has different codes then me. Any info would be great... im tring to get this explorer done asap.

thanks,
Nathan

Bank 1 would be the bank on the passenger side of the vehicle (in the US) and sensor 1 is the sensor before the catalyst.

I wouldn't expect an O2 sensor to cause a misfire unless you are overdue for a tune up. It's probably more likely that you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I also highly doubt that the PCM is the issue.
