Odometer Rollover Issue

Has ANYONE ever heard of a case of a Tiburon's odometer rolling from 99,999 to 200,000 instead of 100,000?
This is what a guy trying to sell an 03 to my son is claiming. He says, "although the odometer reads 220,000kms it really only has 120,000kms on it" -- because of this apparently inexplicable odometer problem. :screwy:
My advice is "stay away" .... the guys is lying about this ... and who knows what else.
Your thoughts?

Tell him to prove it by showing service records etc. If he can't, he's most likely lying. I've never ever heard of this problem and if it was something that happened frequently Hyundai would be issuing a recall or otherwise fixing it.
