Plating on wheels

My 04 has the chrome plated factory wheels . Plating on inside of wheel is peeling off making noise as it hits brake rotor. Dealer said soap from car wash caused it and I told him the only car wash it had been through is the one at your dealership. They will not warnt. or repair. Just another headache with this car. I look for deep puddles to ride through seems to peel of the lose stuff till the next tire rotation. G.L.T.A. A.C.ED
