its a 1992 eclipse 2.0 n/t. ok first it idles really low 400-600rpms (i feel that its lower than normal correct me if im wrong). and every once in a while it'll conk out. pretty randomly. doesnt seem to matter if im driving or sitting at a stop light or what. also when i go from reverse or higher rpms and press the cluch down to disengage the gears it drops to AT LEAST 300 rpms if not lower and will then come back to the 4-6 hundred or conk every once in a while. why is this?
second when the engine is coldl in the morning it makes this horrible squeaky squeal noise by the belts. iv been told this is the tensioner or idler pulley. are those one and the same? if not what is which? and is that the source of the noise?
last for right now but definitely not least. it has a very very annoying loud rattle sounding like its coming from the rear passenger side suspension area. if im on reallllly smooth pavement its almost not existent but the slightest bump makes the most annoying ratttle. What is this? also i cant put the plastic covers on to the plastic trunk peice that goes around the strut tower area because the apparent main looking bolt that the rubber boot goes on sticks up too high. dont know if it helps anyone.
had this car about a month (got it or six hundred so im not comlaining) and trying to get it tuned up and running well for the winter before i think about putting performance parts on next spring/summer. so any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated. please let me know what any of you think. thanks so much.

Welcome to AF!
Do a tune up on the car first off. Plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil, etc.. This may fix your problem. Do you have a check engine light on? If so get that check and should tell you your problem.
Before replacing the tensioner/idler pulley try tightening the belts.
The rattleing could be blown struts, I would check other things around that area but that would be the easiest to replace and see if that fixes it.
