Start up procedure for a new engine

Hi,

I am considering getting a rebuild motor for a 1996 cutlass supreme that I got off a guy who blew the head gasket in it.

I would like to know the start up procedure for starting a new 3.1L motor.

How do you prime the oil pump?

Fill the oil filter with oil, that enough for this type engine make sure you have everything hooked up properly, fuel pressure is good at the rail, the initial start is critical as you know.
